About Chris Maeda:
Chris Maeda has served as the senior technology executive in enterprise software companies since 1997. He was EVP and CTO for Kana Software from 2001 to 2004, and EVP and CTO for Broadbase Software from 2000 until Broadbase’s merger with Kana in 2001.
Prior to that, Maeda was co-founder and CTO for Rubric Software from 1997 until Rubric’s acquisition by Broadbase in 2000 for $320 million. His expertise covers software engineering management, product and technology strategy, technical marketing, and patent portfolio management.
Before founding Rubric, Maeda worked at the Xerox Palo Alto Research Center and published several papers on software engineering and the design of operating systems. He holds Ph.D. and M.S. degrees in computer science from Carnegie Mellon and a B.S. degree in computer science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
